I am a current Yamaha YZ250F and Wolverine 450 owner. I have decided
to sell them both and get a new sport 4X4. For the most part I ride trails, sand and dirt. I have my eye on a new Renegade 570 and I’m wondering how the power and more importantly handling are for trail riding. Is this unit to big for the tight technical stuff? Size is also very important because I still haven’t ruled out a LTZ 400 or raptor 700 just for that reason. Any comments or advice will be appreciated.

I’ve been having a stalling problem with my 500. It will idle smoothly for a while at 1200 rpm, then drop down, stumble and stall. It will often stall with the throttle just off idle unless the throttle movement is very slow. Checked ETC switch, changed spark plug. Checked codes and saw 22 (TPS low or high). I made up a T connection and adjusted the TPS voltage from 1.06 to 1.125 (middle of the 1.10 – 1.14 VDC range spec) using the 4.99 VDC signal from the ECM. I had unplugged the MAP sensor to rotate the throttle body to access the TPS connections, so I wasn’t surprised that I then had a 45 error code (MAP sensor) in addition to still having the TPS error. The problem is that the codes are not clearing after disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. I’ve rung out the wiring from the sensors to the ECM connector, and they are all good.
So I’m a little skeptical that there really is a problem with the MAP or TPS. Anyone have any suggestions for a way to clear the error codes? Is it more likely that the ECM is the problem?
I’m trying to avoid figuring out a way to get this down to a dealer to use their diagnostic software.
Thanks,
Michael

Hello all and thanks in advance for your help. My rancher is giving me fits. When the issue first started my buttons would not shift the bike. So I took it home and pulled the shift motor off and discovered I had a broken spline on the gear reduction gear. I also noticed the factory grease was basically dust and there is no lubrication at all so I put everything back together with grease and I could shift with buttons. (After I got the new part). Now the buttons don’t work at all. Does the wire that hooks to the shift motor have anything to do with this? What is it called? Where does it go to? Thanks again.

Which 12" stock wheels will fit my 98 300 fourtrax? Bare in mind I have a 350D rear end. I’m guessing as long as the PCD is the same they should fit, right?

We have all done this. For the last few years I have been putting off some much needed surgery. Last year in on April 1st I went in for the first operation. (right hip) The improvement was so drastic that eight weeks later I went in for the left hip. Acording to doctors and therapists the biggest mistake I made was delaying the surgery.
The new hips work great. However because of my putting this off the old mucles have given me fits. Hip replacement gives a new deffination to a pain in the ass (your own). It has been more than worth it. If you need the surgery. Get it done soonest!
Thanks all
Happy New Year! To one and All
