New To Forum – Sportsman Stability Question

Hello Polaris ATV Forums,

I’ve been a lurker for a long time and finally decided to join. I own a 2013 Honda Rincon that I purchased new in late 2013. One day I hope to upgrade to a Sportsman. I joined so that I could ask questions and engage in discussions on this forum. Thanks for having me!

I ride with a guy who has an older Sportsman. It’s a 2004 700 and is an impressive machine. He is able to crawl up and over a lot of things that take a little more finesse to accomplish with my Rincon. My first question I have is inspired by a video I saw on YouTube recently. It was a video of a guy on a Sportsman 850, and I have no idea how he’s doing what he’s doing in the video without completely flipping the machine. Are the Sportsmans really this well balanced? Or is there something going on here that I’m not seeing? There is no way my Rincon could do this hill this confidently without winching. The guy isn’t even leaning forward!

Thanks – I look forward to getting to know everyone here.
