Good day all. I’m in need of an olive branch here. My loved 2007 Rincons rear
Diff sounds terrible…..(grinding while riding at slow speed). Got off to quickly
Investigate only to see oil leaking from the right rear diff seal. I’m sure the bearing along with seal are finished. Skills are limited and after a little research came up with a plan…..
1—remove both rear drive shafts
2—remove side cover of diff
3—remove the RR. RING (41T) I think it’s also called the (crown gear)
4—expose and attempt to remove the bad bearing without removing the pinion
5—start feeling nervous about getting in over my head!!!
I’m feeling OK about the disassembling portion except that pinion part scares me. Is it terrible not to change out the pinion bearings and seals if they seam to be good? Is this even possible to do without removing the pinion. I haven’t started anything yet….figured I should get some friendly advise on what to be careful of.
