I have studied the owners manual as well as service manual w/o any clue as to just how each component of the 300ex (MY2000) Rube Goldberg reverse sequence actually works or what actual function each step actually performs —
1) — what action takes place when push button is held down at left hand lever when actuating the clutch?? Is this cable actuated function necessary?? If so why?? etc, etc (I am not asking about the hand lever actuated clutch)
2) — indicator light switch(s) located at bottom of right side crankcase — are they actuated by some mechanical movement within the transmission or simply by the cable mentioned in #1 above??
3) — Pull lever at left of engine obviously moves the constant mesh gears to get the transmission from neutral into reverse — Is the push button cable really necessary?? If so, why??
