I’ve been reading and trying to decide on skids for my rig. One concern I have is mud and the skids. I would imagine that if I’m in some nice sloppy stuff the skids will get plugged up and packed good. Is that a "true" statement? My main use is hunting where rocks, stumps, and sloppy conditions are the norm. Will the mud packing truly be a concern or more of a inconvenience when it comes to clean up? What about snow, slush, ice? Will freeze up also be worse? I’m thinking the trade off with the mud/ice packing will not outweigh the protection I need. Just looking for "real world " useage opinions. I’m not looking to start another debate on what skid brand is better…
However, that being said, will hdpe shed mud/ice any better than alum or Vic versa?
