Man, it seems like the trail sticker and orv permit go up and up every year. Tree-huggers, skiiers, and mountain bikers who pay no fees, have no kidding gotten legal rights to block a 54 mile trail from any and all ORV traffic. Sections at a time are cut off, fenced off, DNR signs, seasonal restrictions. Google U.P. Heritage Trail. What a scam.
To top it all off, the Snowmobile club has no problems letting me run my tracks on their trails, BUT the DNR do. My smartass bought a winter sticker (yes for snowmobiles) and will attempt to see just how far I can get before getting a ticket.
I see now they are putting trail-end gates up, too narrow for a side by side and wide enough for a snowmobile.
