Mopard…how important were the marks on the

governor cup and outside sliding sheave??? I inadvertently scrubbed them off while cleaning up the sheave with Brake Cleaner! :th_smiliepullhair:

I am stuck with trying to make a not so edumacated guess on where the governor cup sat inside the sliding sheave at this point. :th_smiliefrustrated

So…if I have it fit back together in the wrong spot, is it going to screw anything up???

I also made the mistake of scrubbing up the bushings on the sliding sheave with my scotch brite pad before realizing how soft they actually were. :th_smiliepissed: I don’t think I damaged them…but I wouldn’t have been scrubbing so hard if I had known what it was that I was scrubbing on.

Oh, BTW…the play I was telling you about in the fixed sheave pulley shaft is NOT up and down play. It’s a slight in and out play. It will clunk back and forth (straight in and straight out) slightly.
