I was planning purchasing an ATV to hall the watercraft around at he lake and to do some chores and some trial riding and a little bit of snow clean -up in the winter at the house. I wanted to do this last year but it was not in the budget. Now I am ready to go.
I have been looking at a manual shift but getting that model with power steering looks like i have to go to a Deluxe model in the Rubicon now.
Forum members know there Honda’s and there ATV’s.Is the Rubicon the right choice here or should i go with the Foreman 500? Is there a difference in gearing are they powerful enough?
My brother-in law has an older Rubicon 500 and says i should have no problem with power with either choice.
Since I am launching the water craft in water am i going to have more issue with the Foreman rear brake in the future versus the Rubicon?
From a trail perspective,I think the IRS is probably the way to go from a comfort point of view. But I know the Foreman would still get it done on the trail.
Am I over analyzing this ?
I plan to do buy in a few weeks. My family members recommend the Honda and friend owns a Yamaha dealership(LOL). The new Grizzly is nice but…I have 16 that wants to ride with his friends so I am wondering if the 700 is way too much bike for us when the 500 would get the job done. I like the idea of a manual transmission.
