Running a 2015 Outlander XTP-MAX with DPS. OEM generator output for Magneto is 625 W at 6,000 rpm. Currently running 10" Rigid E2 light bar on OEM battery with no issues. 10" E2 Rigid Spec is 78 Watts with 5.65 Amp Draw. Looking to add Wet Sounds Stealth 10 or 6 Ultra. Stealth website does no publish amp draw; Peak Watts is 400 or 600 pending model. I am not for sure what the DPS draws although I know the non-DPS model machines Magnetos are 400 W at 6,000 rpms, so I am assuming 225 W (??). I have a lot of friends running sound systems on a variety of machines with amplifiers that are running on separate 12V batteries and charging at the end of each day. At first glance appears I would be operating near the limit on existing OEM equipment with all devices operating.
Would like opinions if additional battery is the way to go, and is there some recommendation on a switch-over (one of my friends has this on Maverick) for an Outlander to be able to move the Magneto charge from one battery to the other during a ride and minimize charging the battery at the end of each day or keeping everything separated on the sound system is better (do not share on a switch over is recommended)
