Looking for everyone’s opinions on rollover damage and decision to claim on insurance

Had a hard rollover on a motocross course and she flopped over really hard. Had harnesses and no injuries were sustained thankfully but it must’ve hit just right and ended up with a lot of damage on the control arms and some on the frame.

First off I swapped out the upper front control arm with a friends. That appeared to be the extent of the damage in the front.

However the rear is another story. The lower control arm is tweaked and the paint on the welds in spots chipped away. That is also the case on several spots where the lower control arm mounts are welded to the frame.

The rear upper control arm, on the back mount pushed that smaller tube in about 1/2" as well. The front of that mount still appears to be unchanged.

Here are some pictures of the cracks on the rear frame control arm mounts as well as on the lower rear control arm itself.

All of these pictures are from the rear right side.

I didn’t think the damage was as extensive as it appears to be now. Seeing the paint chipping from the welds at this point is my biggest concern.

I’ve never needed to claim ANYTHING on any of my insuranced property before so I’m a bit nervous about that. At the same time I’m concerned this may be a situation where it would be just stupid not to.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on this and I can get more pictures and provide more information if anyone needs it.

I sincerely appreciate the input and just want to get my situation resolved so I can get back on the trails!
