*CV axle protectors
*Skid plates
*Synthetic oils? (never ran anything synthetic besides Honda HP2 premix in my 2 smokers)
*Rear axle? (please explain what I need to do, any aftermarket parts that increase durability? Bearings, Seals etc)
I’m not interested in more power, this things has tons of power compared to my 2001 Recon haha. The Recon has been the most durable, reliable, stress free, money free machine I have ever owned. Its been down the Dalton HWY from Prudhoe Bay to Fairbanks and back, all over the Rocky Mtns and has helped me get several big game animals out of the woods.
I’m looking for the same reliability that my Recon has, so lead me in the right direction.
It does have the upgraded fuel filter..according to the previous owner.
The right front bearing is toast I believe. I propped it up on some wooden blocks and took the front wheels off to inspect the brakes and CV axles and noticed the right front hub has play in it, pretty sure its the wheel bearing. Are those pretty straight forward to replace? Or do I have to remove the whole hub and press the bearing out and press new one in? On the recon, I can just use a ball peen hammer and a socket and do it that way with the hub in place.
Thanks guys n gals :icon_ lala:
