Just back from W.Va.

Checked in at Ashland ATV park WVa. on 7-2-15. Rained till we left on 7-5 but that was a good thing as there was no dust. The Sun came out for a little while everyday for and hour or two so it was not like nonstop.
We did a lot of the Hatfield-McCoy trails and found that this is good for people that want to pick a trail that has different difficulties according to the groups skill level. Also if you stay on the numbered trails of the Hatfield you will find your way home. Now we had friends there and for two days rode outlaw. Now these trails lead to a lot of wild places they might not be good for everyone. Found deep mud around Pinnacle creek and some bad Azz climbs. I was with two friend that got stuck in the mud and also on the side of one mountain rolled there machines. Lucky there were ok and the machines did not roll all the way down and they were able to ride them out. One machine got a one inch gash in the rear tire and lucky someone in the group had extra tire plugs and using three strips of plug were able to get it to hold air to get home. He bought a new tire in Bluefield for the next days ride. Carrie plugs and air compressors if you don’t want to leave your machine in the mountains. He got his flat by going to fast by the train tracks and we think it might have been a spike but there is also a lot of sharp rocks. Plain your ride ahead and ride your plan. As someone great said I will B back.
