Jerking at slow speeds – New belt on

So I have an 07 outty max XT – 650. I have owned it for a week and so all this is new to me. I noticed when I would go to take off or go at a slow speed the quad would jerk / belt slip. Once you got the rpm up or would go faster it would stop. So I thought great! – I ordered a new belt and attempted to take the cover off. Well the cover had two stripped screws in it from the previous owner. Needless to say I had to cut the belt cover off with a saw. The clutches and everything were covered in mud. So I ordered a new cover (obviously) and back cover and seals. I hosed off the primary and secondary and visually inspected them and they look clean. I out the new belt on and it still does the same exact thing. Like nothing has changed. It does do its normally clutch tapping and it also gives me a squeak when the bike is shut off. The reason I bought the belt is because I tried getting the quad on the back of my truck one day and it smoked the belt attempting to climb the ramps. Im not sure if it is a combination of the crap that was in the case or this is just the way it is. I have read other forums that say that the Jerking is normal…(clutch engaging/Disengaging) I have run it with the cover off and I can actually watch the belt slip at slow take off (creep). Again I don’t know if it is engaging/ disengaging ect. Im taking it to the dealer to have them put on the back plate as I don’t feel comfortable taking off the primary and secondary. Also the new cover I purchased is different from the old one(came from the dealer). Has more bolt holes and has a little vent tube in the lower corner. My concern is getting water or mud throught this vent. I have heard that people have run a small tube to the bottom of the seat. Again thanks for letting me beat your ear off and helping me understand this machine.
