Picked up brand new 2016 570 sportsman today. First Polaris in 16 years
soon as i get it home and in the yard……clunk…pop…clunk…pop. Bump the throttle clunk….let off the throttle….pop. Reminds me of a truck with a U Joint slapping around.
Rides smooth as long as going steady. But on and off the throttle its like the transmission or something is slapping around. JEEZ if it had done that i would have never put it in the trailer at the dealer!
So i back it up against a bank in reverse to force the rear wheels to spin in the mud in 2 wheel drive. i get the back tires spinning and …..clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk. Im gonna post a youtube video here very soon so you can see what I’m talking about
Sorry guys I’m really bummed out. I refused to buy a polaris for 16 years and the first day i give them another try I’m VERY concerned. And to make it worse I’m 200 miles from the dealer i bought it from.
Will add…..its just been driven around the yard for 2 hours. it clunked from the moment i drove it off the trailer. Both high and low range.
so the popping you hear in the video is the same thing it does when ON and OFF the throttle
