How to Properly remove oneself from Polaris’ Mailing List

It’s a shame that one must do things like this to achieve their desired result. Feel free to copy the letter and mail multiples of it to corporate. Maybe they will pay attention to an en masse mail campaign. This post was made 24 SEP at 1424 EDT. I wonder how long it will remain in this forum before being taken down.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am writing this letter to you today, after approximately one dozen frustrating, irritating and down right miserable experiences with Polaris dealers, customer (no) service reps and your RZR product. I made the mistake of purchasing a 2014 RZR XP1000 approximately 8 months ago. From the beginning it was a complete disaster. The dealership, salesman and tech/repair personnel are all incompetent myrmidons, who should not be allowed to interact with other humans. Your products are wrought with design flaws, known to you or made known to you by your customers, and your customer service personnel are overpaid secretaries. There is absolutely no excuse for this RZR to have anything less than stellar product quality in every way, especially for something that costs $20,000. That is the price of a new car. I can assure you that I have spent $20,000 on a car before and the buying and ownership experience was much closer to something enjoyable and further from going to the doctor for a prostate exam, in an office run by a combination of eight year boys and teenage girls.

I presume that you have a record of my purchase, therefore you know the dealer, salesperson and repair technician or can easily find that information, should you care about it for some reason, which I sincerely doubt is the case. The main purpose of this letter is simply to express my monumental disdain and hatred for Polaris as a company and their products and request that you COMPLETELY PURGE all of my information from every system, computer, device and office that has it, in any manner whatsoever. I have made no less than a half dozen phone calls to Polaris corporate HQ, customer (no) service and two dealers, in an effort to accomplish this.

I do not want your credit card offers, your discount accessory flyers for your $hitty Chinese plastic crap, an extended warranty that isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, a birthday card, an apology letter or anything else from you. I don’t ever want to hear from Polaris or any partners, affiliates, associates, sister companies or anyone who has anything to do with Polaris whatsoever, ever again, for any reason, amen. This includes a response to this letter, a phone call, promotional material or any communication, written, verbal or in any other form. You are not authorised to share, store, sell, transfer or use my personal information. I want it purged from your system, as if it never existed.

I made this very clear to the incompetent dealer when I purchased the RZR. I explained that I did not want to be on a mailing list or have any information shared. I asked for a Privacy Policy and they did not have a copy of it. Everyone that I have spoken with at Polaris has been incapable of accomplishing this goal, despite their assurances that this issue will be resolved. If I continue to receive correspondence from Polaris, their partners, dealers, affiliates, associates or anyone else who has obtained my personal information as a result of this RZR purchase, the next letter you receive will be from my Attorney. It is a simple request and I ask that you take this opportunity to resolve it once and for all. Hopefully, there is someone within your organisation who is competent to handle this task.

This letter will be posted in every ATV, UTV and Off Road forum that I can get to. I will verbally tell everyone that I know what a miserable experience I have had with Polaris industries and pray to all of the gods in the universe that Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha and anyone else who makes ATV or UTV products will realise your weaknesses, if they have not already and will further endeavour to run your sorry asses out of business as quickly and efficiently as humanly possible.

In summary, remove all of my info from your systems (legal name, address, phone number, SSN, credit information, etc). The “check box” that said that has been done, has not worked. A dealer confirmed for me, my presumption that Polaris mails on their behalf and they (dealer) do nothing. They were not even aware of the mailing. Great communication with your dealer network will be added to the list of things you have effed up on…

I sincerely hope that no one other than my worst enemy ever has to deal with you guys or your dealers in a situation like this ever again. I have had a week long stay in the hospital that was less painful. My RZR has been listed for sale and as soon as I can get the money to pay off the loan, it will be sent down the road. Only then will I have a wry smile upon my face.

Regards,

XXXXXX XXXXXXXX
