The 1995 Xplorer 400 I bought for a case of beer has a tore up Hilliard where the armature plate goes against the Hilliard, the tangs in the plate chewed up the whole back side so they couldn’t hold it.

How strong is that coil? I can pull the plate off by hand with out too much effort, was wondering if the coil is weak too or if it should be fine. All the wiring checks out good so trying to figure out if I should replace the coil while I’m at it. Hate to have to spend another 130 or so but it’ll still be a cheap machine even if I do have to do it.
