I’ve always used 3 ratchet straps to tie down my RZR and have never had a problem. However the rear two straps are always lose by the time I arrive at my unloading point (only 20 miles away), so what’s the point? The front end has all the positive tension on it and it never loosens at all. The last couple rides i have only strapped down the front end and had no probs, this makes loading an unloading a breeze but is this unsafe? Can I safely haul my machine on a 6X12 trailer w/tailgate using only the front tie down? How many tie downs do you use to secure your machine when hauling?
In addition, I’m thinking about adding a parking brake soon. IF I combine the parking brake and the single tie down I think that should be sufficient? I’ve read some guys use the P Brake when hauling and nothing else?
