I’m new here and in a bit of a bind. I’ve done some searching around the forum for a few hours and couldn’t find an answer to my question.
Background- I’ve got a 2005 Foreman 500 4×4 with the manual foot shift. The thing wasn’t shifting quite right into 3rd gear so I went to adjust the clutch. This is a very high mileage bike so the adjuster screw was seized within the front cover. So I pulled the front cover and removed the adjuster screw, scotch brighted it, and slammed everything back together. When I got it back together, adjusted the clutch and filled it with oil, the foot shifter wouldn’t move at all. It’s seized rock solid. So I figured I must have jammed something when I put it back together so I pulled the front cover back off to see if that was the issue. My foot pedal still wont move with the front cover off even though it seems like nothing should be able to bind it now. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I missing something? I don’t see anything in there that should be too concerning. I’m heading into the city to grab a repair manual and hoping maybe I’ll see some sort of issue in there but I’m doubting it. Anyone able to share their knowledge before my wife kills me? Hahaha Thanks folks
