I have a 2003 Honda 90 ATV for my son. A while back it started acting up out of the blue. It will crank and run fine, but after about 15 minutes of riding, the ATV dies out. It will not crank until I let it sit for a few minutes. I first thought that the ignition coil was the problem, so I changed it. Same thing happens. Then I figured that the issue was the CDI box, so I bought a "perfomance" CDI from Quadboss. When I changed the box, the ATV would not start. Checked for spark and there was none. Put the old CDI on and I had a spark. Quadboss didn’t have any more CDI’s in stock so I got a refund and bought one from D2 Moto. This CDI would crank the ATV but as soon as I put it in gear the ATV would die. Swapped to the old one and there were no issues. I returned that CDI and was refunded my money. The latest CDI I bought on Amazon and it is giving me the same issue as the first replacement, I have no spark. Swap to the old CDI and I have spark. Anyone have any idea what is going on here??
