Noticed my FWD stopped functioning recently while out on a ride.
Upon closer examination, I also noticed my pinion gear seal was leaking, so that gave me a good excuse to replace the fluid, replace the seal and see if new fluid fixed the issue. No such luck.
I put it on stands to see what happens in 2wd and awd. Front tires spun with the backs whether I was in AWD or just FWD, essentially no difference.
I could also free spin either front tire with no affect on the other front tire, and thats with machine and ignation on or off, in either 2wd or awd.
What do you all thini? Do i have problem with the central hilliard clutch or is this a voltage problem. I opened up the fwd/awd switch on the bars and made sure the circuit is opened and the front tire still spin.
Thoughts anyone? Diff’s not making any weird noises. The stubby pinion shaft seemed pretty solid (no play) when I replaced the front shaft seal.
