Any one else frustrated by their local trail system? The one closest to me, about 25 ~ 30 minutes away, constantly closes due to rain. Every time it rains a little bit he posts that they will be closed and then remain closed for a day or two depending on how much rain we got. I don’t mind rain, water, or mud.
And then in the winter time they close the trails. I prefer to ride more in the fall and winter than I do in the summer. At my house in my own woods it’s just easier to get around than in the summer when everything is grown up and there’s a spider web every 2 feet to run through.
This is a camp ground also, and the guy started making the trails a few years ago. It seems that he is just a bit too particular about them. He also posts that he doesn’t want any one riding with mud tires or aggressive tires. I don’t have to worry about that since I have my stock Carlisles, but I know most people like to change the tires out first thing to some big mud tires.
