I have a 01 sportsman 500 that seems to be eating front brake pads within 7-10 hours. The spot I’m riding in is really sandy and usually wet. I know my rims are usually packed with this sandy mud and will cause extremely fast wear. The thing that bothers me is that when I replace the front pads and set up the caliber a I can ever get it so that I can spin the front rotor/hub freely without any drag, is this normal? My rotors feel like there slightly warped and with the tires on you can spin them easily. I’ve replaced the leaking seals in both master cylinders and also took the front calipers a part and replaced the seals in the
. I’m curious to see if the slight drag between the pads and rotors is normal and it’s just the area I’m riding or if I have to start trying to diagnose and issue.
