So….. I have taken my razor out for 3 trips and each trip I have had issues.
My first time out, I had the front diff grenade about 10 minutes after unloading. My dealer got it handled right away and Polaris replaced the diff. Lots of metal in th diff and lots of damage.
The 2nd trip out (Thanksgiving trip), my front (drivers side) axle popped out and tore up the outer side of the dff cover. This was also 10 minutes after unloading it. A buddy helped me get it back in and it was problem free for the next 4 days. Dealer ordered parts to fix the cosmetic damage, but was back ordered. I’ll take it back at a later date to replace the parts….
My 3rd trip out (New Years trip), I took it out for a spin and everything seemed to be good. I got a call from my dealer to see if everything was OK with the axle. As I hung up with him, I looked down to see the axle HAD POPPED OUT AGAIN and was laying in the frame. WTF ?? I jacked it up and got the axle back in. It stayed in for the next 6 days and was problem free….
I’m pretty frustrated with this "popping out" issue. I’m not sure I want to have the dealer replace the diff cover and zirc fitting, just to have the axle pop out and tear them up again. I was lucky that the parts were back ordered or they would’ve gotten all beat up again.
My dealer said that all 3 Turbo razors that they have sold have had the axles pop out on them. So at what point does Polaris step up and rectify the problem ? Or will it take an aftermarket company to come up with a solution ? I’ve read of several other new owners having the same exact issue, I’m sure this is going to be an on-going problem. For $25K, we really shouldn’t have to worry about the axles popping out of the diff, IMO !
