Well, not only was I a virgin ATV owner this year, but I have never plowed snow in my life-just used a snowblower for that. Last night at 11pm, I was out taking care of the 8" of white crap Bella dumped on us. Better than some, of course, far worse than others. To rub salt into the wound, some brainiac in meteorology changed our forecast from 5-8" to 1-3 at around 5pm or so. Looking out, I could tell already that wasn’t going to fly. Hell, we had 1.5" three hours into the storm, and a look at the weather map said this was a 12 hour storm. Anyhow, this was my first time plowing anything. The quad and it’s Denali plow worked extremely well. I can understand the need for a power angle, but for now I need to get more exercise by getting on and off to change blade angles. Overall, I was tickled with performance of both pieces. I came in after doing the 250 foot driveway, approach and even shoveling the finer areas, in just under an hour, something that generally took me about 3 hours with the snowblower. I imagine even the one hour time will drop with practice, but this was a great first attempt.
