Hey guys,
I just bought my first quad yesterday, and this’ll be my first post.
I have a 2002 Kodiak 400 Special Edition. Its in great shape, starts immediately and purrs like a kitten. I have a front end 2500 lb warn winch and itp mud lites on the back (both came with the bike).

i wouldn’t call myself a mechanic, but i know my way around an engine, and have basic-yet-complete tool collection
Right off the bat, i plan to change the oil, grease it up, etc, but im wondering what other changes i should make. I dont have a lot of cash to throw at it, so really, im looking simple/cheap improvements, that will make the biggest difference (if there are any…)
Ideas i’ve found so far are upgrading air filter, jetting the carb, etc.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
