Dealer ECU reflash

Just took both of our xpt’s to our dealer for an ECU Reflash. After having temps upward of 230 while hard duning, I contacted Polaris and opened a complaint on both units (as my dealer advised me to do). This allowed the dealer to escalate the issue with Polaris. They were told to have me bring both in for a reflash. While there, we called Polaris dealer tech support to ask exactly what was being changed. We were told that no fuel maps or boost levels were touched. What they did was adjust the fan trigger temps down (which i dont think will make a difference), and adjust the electric intercooler water pump circulation trigger temp. I didn’t realize that the intercooler pump wasnt running all of the time. Apparently the radiator and intercooler share the same water supply, and the pump turns off and on depending on the temp. I think this has potential of helping the high temp issue. We shall see… Heading back to Glamis for two weeks, starting Sunday.

The Polaris Tech guy asked what the temps were, while we were on the phone. When we told him 230… he said that that "was normal" and that the motor was "designed to take that kind of heat with no problem"… I asked at what point then should I start to worry… He said 250!!!!!!!!! That there is crazy!!!

I told him that at 225+, my right leg felt like it was sitting on a stove burner. He suggested putting some heat shield on the inside of the tunnel.
