Should you change clutching for extra weight of tires and rims? I switched from stock to ITP EVO’s and 212 rims. When I mounted them I noticed a pretty hefty weight difference so I weighed them. Fronts were 20lbs stock, and 36.5 new. Rears were 22lbs stock and 42 on the new tires and rims. Old tires were 25" now they are 26". So that’s a total of 73lbs more of rolling mass. I get the changing of clutching for bigger tires, but what about the weight alone. I gotta believe that even if I went with 25" tires, they would still be around 70lbs heavier than stock.
