I just got done chopping the cage on my 900s. It’s really easy to do, takes about 1.5 hours with welding and cutting skills. Cut 2.5" above the seatbelt bung and 2.5" below. Tugged the cage back down, heated and rebent top bar then rewelded. Re welded the seatbelt bung in at the end.
We also reinforced the weld area with external plates. The better way is to sleeve the inside but we didn’t have any so we went with the exterior solution.
It’s interesting, I look at the pics and don’t think it looks much different. In person it looks very different.
