New guy on the block here but not new to the sport. I recently purchased a 2016 Honda Rancher 4×4. I love the bike but I was a little disappointed in the amount of storage it has. I’m on a budget and didn’t want to drop a couple hundred on a nice storage bag made for the rancher. plus I would never fill it up. All I really need to carry is a few drinks and some misc. tools nothing serious. So I went to America’s favorite store Wally world and purchased a small plastic tool box for $7 and some heavy duty zip ties for $3. I placed the tool box on the back rack and centered it up. I used a marker and marked two lines on either side of the backside of the box using the rear catch bar as a template. I came in about a 1 1/4 inch from the sides and drilled 4 holes. I then marked the right and left side of the box a 1 1/4 inch from the bottom. I then marked the bottom of the box 1 1/4 inch from the side and drilled the holes. I then placed the box on the back rack centered it up and zip tied it down. A little tip if you decided to do this.. push the zip tie through the inside wrapping around the rack running the zip tie back into the box. This keeps the looking end of the zip tie inside the box for nice tighty look. I recommend black zip ties to match the rack. I used white. Thanks please let me know how it works for ya’ll.
