Best tire/rim combo for Wisconsin/ UP of MI trails.

Posted this in General rzr forum but this forum may provide more feedback. Hello everyone, purchased a new RZR 570 back in late October. Only put 50 miles on so far, but definitely know I want to upgrade the tires for sure and possibly rims also. I ride a lot of hard pack, sometimes rocky, trails in WI and the UP, but also the occasional mud hole or swampy area with my buddies. What does everyone suggest for a good tire/rim combo. I like both the ITP or STI wheels and it looks like a common offset is 4/3 which would be ok for a little more stability. I want a 26" tire, but no taller due to possible rubbing issues and no plan to do a lift. Thanks.

Tire help for Rzr 800 S

I’m just in the process of converting my 2014 Rzr 800EPS to a Rzr S with the Super ATV conversion kit. It has the forwarded arched A arms and am adding Fox podium shocks. Currently it has the stock 12" rims with 25" stock tires. I wanna go-to 14" rims with 27" or up to 30" tires I’m looking at either ITP Blackwater, Big horn 2, or Pit bull Growlers XOR BG 2.5. What’s the biggest size of tires can I put on without rubbing or a lift? I’m looking for more ground clearance with out a lift. Also should I be going with a Beadlock rim or will just a normal rim work? Last question is should I have a staggered tires ( 9" or 10" upfront and 11" or 12" in the back?) Or all the same size all the way around? Can someone give me some advice on this matter?

32-10-15 ITP Ultracross R spec weights and measurements

So I ended up buying the R spec tire for my 14 XP1K and thought I would share the weight and measurements I recorded. I was expecting the tire to weigh close to 40# which it did, but was also expecting the tire to be 32" tall which its not…….way not. 30.250" mounted to a Method wheel at 15 psi. The same height as my 30" mongrels at 15 psi on my 900. VERY disappointing. I really hope I dig these tires for the Moab rock crawling stuff we do, because I really wanted that extra 1" of ground clearance. Interestingly enough the Dunlop Radial mud rovers in a 32-11.5-15 with the outer lugs trimmed came in at less weight than the R Spec..go figure. Methods came in at 19.29# ea with lock rings and bolts.

Pro armor XG

Does anyone have a video with these tires in action or have found one? Moto MTC, Moto hammer, and Pro armor XG are the tires in the running for me and really can’t find video of any except the hammers.

TENSOR tire failure….

I mounted my 28x10x14 tires to my Method 401 rims and bought a spare to take with me, until I figure out a mount in the razor.

I was excited to see how they would feel, compared to the stock wheels/ tires.
I made it about 2 miles down the whooped out Cal City road, before I was getting pretty loose in the corners. I pulled over and found that my right rear tire was flat. I had checked the tire pressure when I unloaded it and set them to 15 psi. I tried using my compressor on the trail, but it was no use, my sidewall had a hole in it. 😡😡😡

Just my luck, I guess !! I drove it back and completely trashed the sidewall, but at least the beadlock rims let me get back to the camp.

I drove the hell out of it the rest of the week and absolutely love the tires, but I’m pretty bummed that I have to purchase another tire for my spare. It still has the nipples on the tire with the hole !

Lightest 15″ beadlock wheel?

Does anyone know what the lightest 15" beadlock wheel is? Or even maybe the top 3? I thought maybe the method 401 was since the 14" is the lightest. But I heard that method’s 15" is based off their truck wheel so it’s a lot thicker? Wanting to upgrade from my 14" but don’t want to add a bunch of rotating, unsprung weight.
