Tensor 28/10/12

Was thinking about going with 28/10/12 tensor tires

On my stock wheels. Wandering about how much weight difference from stock bighorns. I have the HO kit installed in my xp900. Just don’t want to lose a lot of bottom end power. And if anyone has pics that wood be GREAT I’ve been looking thru the forum for hours

Razor 900 tire size

Hello I am trying to find the right tire for my 2015 Razor. Nikal has been working with me some and I appreciate his help. I emailed GMZ about different sizes of Cutthroat and they said they were not planning any changes as of yet. So my question is, I have 26x8xr12 front and 26x9xR12 rear. It is almost impossible to locate a set of tires in something that has more ply’s and a closer tread pattern with side wall protection in my size. So will the 900 accept a 26 or 27x9R12 on the front and rear? I do not have EPS and thought I might run into harder steering at low speeds because of larger ground contact patch. Also, will I run into any turning radius issues from rubbing the control arms or front end parts?
I just can’t find a lot of choices for my existing size. I am trying to not have to go 14" wheels but it would give me more choices. I would like to keep the un-sprung weight of each wheel and tire as light as possible. I just trail ride in the desert and that means sharp rocks that the Polaris PXT can’t handle. Please help me on clearance and size issues!!! Thank’s:question:

what offset???

hey guys I’m mid ordering new tires and debating on replacing rims so what offset works best? going an inch wider and I know the motor mount is close.

I also keep finding 12×7 front rims when stock width is 12×8 I thought??

New STI Chicane

Has anyone checked out STIs new chicane tire? It’s suppose to be like the mongrel. I’m just wondering because I’m looking at buying a wheel/tire combo more for asphalt/back roads and sand trails up north with low tire noise on the roads. I have a 2015 900s

Tire that will hold up to pavement?

I have a XP 1000 and am wanting to go up in size from the stocker big horns. Big horns only measured 28 in and I think they look tiny on the car. I’ve looked through all the usual suspects and can’t quite make up my mind on which tire to go with. The big issue for me is that we ride a lot of pavement to get to the trails so wear is a priority. I don’t hit mud holes. Mainly its sandy creeks, wet trails, hard pack, grass, and leaves. We get out to Brimstone, so I will see rocks.

This pretty much eliminates the need for a super aggressive tread. I’d like to be at around a 32, but I’d consider a true 30 as well. My buddy has 30jn mongrels and he navigates most of our stuff with ease other than mud but they just don’t look very big for some reason. I considered Roctanes but am worried they may be too aggressive and heavy for the pavement and wear poorly.

Lastly when going to a 30+ in tire are bead locks needed or will the stock wheels last me? Any recommendations are highly appreciated!

Sedona Rock-a-Billy tires

Folks I’ve looked for a couple hours about any real world information on these tires and I’ve come up with squat! been running Roctanes and have been happy with them but it’s time to replace to poor beat up tires. Mainly rocks and trails, dirt roads so thought these may be a good choice and bump from a 28" to 30". Just wondering how the sidewalls hold up and if they are true to size… I try to stay out of the mud and worst case would be climbing rock waterfalls.

I guess if I can’t find some sort of info I’ll just go back with the Roctanes as they have been awesome just kinda shutter a big on the blacktop. Later,
