Cleaning product for the red 400ex seat?

My 400ex has some black stains on the red seat from the po. I don’t know if they rode with greasy pants or if some old tree sap dripped on there or what happened.

I figured I could stiff arm some Westley’s Bleech White tire cleaner on it and it would come out looking new, usually that stuff is great. But it hardly did anything at all. Maybe it even dried the seat out a little and gave it a whitish chalkiness now.

What do you guys use to deep clean the red vinyl seat?

Thanks!

Auxbeam 12″ light bar

Auxbeam 12" light bar . Just thought I would give my first thought on a 12" light bar I bought off Amazon a few days ago. I have read reviews, heard all the comments from people saying the low priced light bars are junk, yea, yea, yea…
Anyways. I was looking for more light but didn’t want a huge bar, I felt the 12" would be a good option. Found a Auxbeam light for $40 shipped. Looked at the reviews, and reviews were great. So I ordered one.

Received light yesterday and packaged very well, light is solid made, case is aluminum and claims IP-67 rating (dust/water proof). Instillation was straight forward. Light and mounting brackets were only parts included. I also bought a harness from opt7 .

Install went perfect, I felt the quality of the light was very good, comes with 24 3v Cree LEDs Spot and flood. Light is very very bright for its size. It beats stock headlights Hands down. They don’t even compare to the led.

The only issue was finding a spot to mount it. I didn’t want a big light sticking out..but I did not have much choice on my rancher.

Opt7 HD harness was well made. I usual make my own , but for $23 for 14 gage wire, led switch, relay, quality connectors, etc.. I was happy with it and would order again.

So…I took a $40 chance on the light. So far very happy with the light! I would buy again. Time will tell. May machine gets little use, it’s garage kept and never even gets wet unless I wash it. I will post any issues I have if any.

Pros
Looks good
Appears high quality
Very very bright. ( other riders will hate it!!!)
72 watts easy on the charging system.
$40 vs $500 ($500 rigid industries)

Cons.
Harness not included
I don’t like the looks of light bars..any bar..

Foreman pod light on a Rancher AT

After seeing this thread I figured I would put a Foreman pod light on the wife’s 2009 Rancher AT.

Foreman 3rd Headlight on Rancher? – Honda Foreman Forums : Rubicon, Rincon, Rancher and Recon Forum

The Rancher was bought as a basketcase, so I’ve been slowly rebuilding it now for quite a while (with other repairs/projects distracting me constantly).

Anyhow, finally got around to the light this past weekend.

I had to cut the Foreman bracket out where the Foreman gauge attached, and then weld in the Rancher gauge mounting part.

I’ve never welded before, so took a little time, and it is some UGLY cobbled together welding, but it’s sturdy, and the pod covers hide my ugly welding so it ended up looking ok.

The Rancher AT meter isn’t nearly was wide as the opening in the Foreman hood, so I took the Rancher hood and trimmed off the top and back portions, leaving only the sides and directly under the meter to fill in the hole all the way.

Looks like a helmet from Halo.

Put an HID light in the pod light, and will wire it into my tail light so it will come on with the headlights and stay on whether I have the factory headlight switch on high or low beam.

Factory 2016 Rubicon Rack “Holes”

After buying this new ’16 rubicon i noticed a very Weak aftermarket. I build most things but i like to review factory / aftermarket options & prices before i start fabricating my own stuff. After seeing the Eight 7mm Holes drilled in both the front & back rack i assumed there was a factory honda "Extension" or accessory. However i cant find anything. Are these holes for a factory honda accessory or not?

Thanks
Tom

so i made a 400ex hood scoop…

i have an 03 400ex and prices for an aftermarket hood scoop start at about $50. some of these (450r hood) even require further heating and manipulation before theyll sit nice and flush, or so ive heard. I made my own out of plastic from a large rubbermaid container. i mocked one up out of cardboard, used it as a template to cut the plastic, used a dremel and a soldering iron to shape it and stuff. i thought the results looked good so i thought id post pics on here.
