Tribal Whips Rear LED Light Bar Review

Wanted to post a thank you and review to Russ at Tribal Whips regarding his new LED Rear Light Bar.

I had been looking for a very low profile light bar since I picked the RZR up last April and when I saw a preview several months back, I knew I wanted this one.

There are several static feature light bars on the market, but TW is taking it a step further and allowing custom programming of the inputs. This means I can have it programmed to do a specific animation or flash at a specific pace when it gets input from signal 1, etc.

This is how I programmed mine.

Priority 1: Backup Light – Solid White – Signal from dash switch.
Priority 2: Running/Dust Light – Solid Amber – Signal from dash switch.
Priority 3: Brake – Red Brake Animation in center and solid red on outsides – Signal from brake wire on taillight.

I then had a complex function programmed. I said IF Running light is on AND I hit brake pedal (brain gets signal from Priority 2 and 3 at same time), do the same animation as brake, but in Amber color. Since I’ll want Amber to shine through dust, I didn’t want red brake animation if dust light was on. I also had him speed up animation so it flashed faster than brake animation.

I couldn’t be happier. Russ took the time to call and text videos to ensure I was getting exactly what I asked for before shipping. Great customer service.

When I get a custom cage, I’ll have a custom metal frame/wing created for this light bar. This would be a nice upgrade option, but with stock cage the it’s not needed.

I saw this at SEMA today and thought I’d share

I visited SEMA today, and while I was there, I saw a couple of very cool items that I thought I would share with everyone.

1. Weigh Safe – They make a line of hitches that include a built in scale to measure tongue weight. They’re very nice looking machined billet aluminum hitches with SS balls.

Weigh-Safe Trailer Hitches – The Drop Hitch That Saves Lives!

2. Switch Pros Switch Panel – This one is a little difficult to describe, but they’ve created an 8 switch panel that you can customize in ways I never thought possible… they aren’t cheap. But you can throw out your relays, and you don’t need to cut holes in your dash. The device is programmed via bluetooth and your smartphone or tablet… I recommend you check it out if you’re in the market for power distribution.

I’m heading back tomorrow, if I see anything else of interest, I’ll post up.

Tribal Whips customer service

I want to give a shout out to the guys at Tribal Whips. I purchased the Whipzilla about 2 weeks ago and finally got around to installing it last night. I had a question about relocating the power supply and was pleasantly surprised they answered the phone last night around 7pm and gave me all the advice I needed.

Whip looks amazing and the build quality is better than any other whip I’ve seen.

Thanks Tribal Whips!
