Cv boot replacement on gen 2

Hey all I’m not happy to say I popped the rear right inner cv boot on my new XMR:th_smiliepissed: I’ve done a boot on my first gen 1 frame but the new gen 2 frame is new to me. I’ve read I have two options, the first is unbolt the diff and slide it back just enough to pull the shaft or option two, pull the trailing arm and brake caliper. I’m stumped on which is a better choice? I must say that I’m not pleased with the under par cv boots that I do remember in the past being a more pliable rubber versus a plastic like boot! After I noticed I had a leak I poked it with my finger on a rib and it kinked and stayed that way! Maybe they are better I don’t know? Any help or tips on this project would be great as I haven’t done a boot in about 9 years. Has anyone done a video on the gen 2 frame yet? Haven’t seen any, they always make it that much easier to figure things out. Thank you in advance fellas! :th_smiliewavey:

2011 Outlander Xxc blown KYB Shock

My buddy blew his front left KYB shock on our last run, has anybody ever had one rebuilt and where, or are there kits to rebuild them at home.

All the oil has leaked out and the shock no longer works….obviously.

We are from Quebec, Canada by the way.

Thanks.

Ball joint grease?

I just received some new ball joints and noticed they felt very tight and almost like they needed grease. They to not have zerk fittings. Anyone ever peal back the boot and slap some grease in theirs?

Super Dave Customer Service

I had trouble pressing in some bushings and ruined a set. Super Dave not only took the time to call me with tips on installation, he also credited my pay pal
account for the cost of the replacements I ordered. Definitely a stand up guy!

Dual spring and re-valve

I have a 2012 900XP and am looking to get a dual rate spring set up and shocks re-valved. I live in Charlotte, NC and was wondering if anyone does that near me. Would love to not have to pay to ship 4 shocks across the country. Was looking at PEPUTV but am unable to get on their website.

rear trailing arm bearing

I’m doing my rear trailing arm bearings and I’m wondering what you guys have used and whats good and whats bad? should i go with the brp bearings or are there aftermarket ones that are good too.
any input would be great!
