900 xp shocks heat up

So I am new to the 900 xp and noticed when riding this past weekend 3 of the 4 shocks warmed up and one stayed kinda cool. I know they heat up when they work so does that mean the cool one is not working right? Its got 1400 miles on it does it pay to get them recharged don’t really want to spend a bunch to get them rebuilt

Any opinions?

Looking at purchasing a set of Progressive 425 Heavy Duty front shocks for a 08 RZR 800 at 360.00, could anyone tell me anything good or bad about these?

This machine is used for oil patch work on a daily basis, if not these shocks could anyone recommend something else heavy duty in the same price range?

Thanks

Racer Tech stands behind springs

I would like to give big kudo to Racer Tech, bought set of springs for Sachs shocks close to year ago and had one break. I sent email over the weekend was replied back Monday morning for a pic of spring. I just received tracking number for my new one on its way. Hell yeah Thank You Maggie @ Racer Tech

Racertech springs

Got my medium rate racertechs in and will attempt to install them tonight.. Any tips on setup …. This is on a 900s, and shocks still stock, haven’t have them revalved yet..

And help, tips will be appreciated as this is first time messing with springs/shocks

Regular shocks

We are looking for good alternative "regular" shocks for the 800S not piggybacks.

We have Racer Tech progressive shocks on the Fox shocks and the springs have totally destroyed the Fox shocks. Both rear shocks are worn paper thin and one is split open from the spring spacer rubbing on the shock.

Can’t afford to replace the Fox shocks or buy anything that expensive so we’re looking for regular shocks.

2015 900S stock set up specs

I was checking over my machine tonight in preparation for a weekend ride. I check my owners manual for the factory spring height dimensions. I then also checked the service manual I found on this site. For the "S" model the service manual and owner manual gave two different dimensions.

Service manual:
Front – 18.77cm – 187.70mm
Rear – 7.11cm – 71.10mm

Owner manual:
Front – 7 7/8" – 200mm
Rear – 3 5/16" – 84.14mm

That is quite a bit of difference. I then check my machine and it measures to the service manual specs. Has anybody noticed this? Can anybody else check there RZR and see what their’s is set to?

I also check the front ride height per the owners manual and I’m 1/2" lower (with 28" tires) than the manual states. I’m not sure if this is just spring sag, i have 1400 miles on it.

Please share your thoughts…

Thanks

Stock Shock Question

Hey all, I’ve searched through the threads but did not come to a conclusive answer.

Are stock shocks on a 2010 Outlander Max 800r filled with oil or gas?

My driver side rear has what appears to be oil/grease all over it and the splatter pattern couldn’t really have come from anywhere else.

This leads me to believe it is oil filled and may have blown a seal?
