Front axle popping out…… 👎🏼

So….. I have taken my razor out for 3 trips and each trip I have had issues.

My first time out, I had the front diff grenade about 10 minutes after unloading. My dealer got it handled right away and Polaris replaced the diff. Lots of metal in th diff and lots of damage.

The 2nd trip out (Thanksgiving trip), my front (drivers side) axle popped out and tore up the outer side of the dff cover. This was also 10 minutes after unloading it. A buddy helped me get it back in and it was problem free for the next 4 days. Dealer ordered parts to fix the cosmetic damage, but was back ordered. I’ll take it back at a later date to replace the parts….

My 3rd trip out (New Years trip), I took it out for a spin and everything seemed to be good. I got a call from my dealer to see if everything was OK with the axle. As I hung up with him, I looked down to see the axle HAD POPPED OUT AGAIN and was laying in the frame. WTF ?? I jacked it up and got the axle back in. It stayed in for the next 6 days and was problem free….

I’m pretty frustrated with this "popping out" issue. I’m not sure I want to have the dealer replace the diff cover and zirc fitting, just to have the axle pop out and tear them up again. I was lucky that the parts were back ordered or they would’ve gotten all beat up again.

My dealer said that all 3 Turbo razors that they have sold have had the axles pop out on them. So at what point does Polaris step up and rectify the problem ? Or will it take an aftermarket company to come up with a solution ? I’ve read of several other new owners having the same exact issue, I’m sure this is going to be an on-going problem. For $25K, we really shouldn’t have to worry about the axles popping out of the diff, IMO !

rzr 1000 turbo 2016 questions

Just bought the 4 seater turbo 1000 2016. this thing is beast. suspension is pretty sweet and power is amazing. does have a lot of vibration when in 4 wheel drive at higher speeds. is this normal. also has clunking noise when at low speed when going on and off the gas pedal. been reading posts all day about all the diff problems and did not realize all the diff things people are having to deal with. are these lemons that need to be worked on all the time?

Snorkles

Has anyone snorkled a turbo yet? After breaking the reverse chain on my 900s, the wife kinda put the idea in my head it may be time to upgrade. I’ve been checking out the Maverick Turbo (buddy has one sitting on 36" BKTs, awesome machine), Maverick X MR, Po-Po turbo, and the Highlifter.
Riding down here in Florida consists of mostly mud and water with sandy trails to carve through.

Turbo Belt Replacement

Found a guy out in the Dunes trying to install his replacement belt but he couldn’t find the tool that spreads the rear pulley to help him get the belt on. We made sure all the previous belt material was removed from the clutches/ rear pulley and then we proceeded to put the new belt completely over and around the front pulley and then halfway around the lower half of the rear pulley as far as we could; removed all hands and fingers away from the belt area and he started the motor and put it in low as we pushed the car forward the belt sprang over the top of the rear pulley and all was good. Is this a common fix or was there a good chance of damaging the drive train? We’ve done it a couple of times on a regular XP1000 in the past as well with no ill effects.

Evolution Power Sports blow off valve problem?

I installed the "vent to atmosphere " BOV on my turbo and its seems like it’s sticking. When I first crank it up and it vents you hear the full phiiiiiiiiiiish. After riding it for a second when it vents it’s a very short burst of air. Like very short. Nothing like it does when you first ride it or in the sample video.

Anyone else have that problem. ?

Insurance

I’m seeing a massive range of what people pay for insurance. Obviously there are many variables. Quotes I’m seeing from all companies are very similar and significantly higher than the 300-500/year I’ve seen some people post here. Variables:

2016 XP Turbo 2 Seater
Nevada
One minor speeding ticket 2 years ago
No Safety course
No years with experience of motor vehicles
Single

Quote w/ Car and Home policy discount is roughly $1000/year and includes:

Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability: 250,000/500,000 100,000 Property

Uninsured Motorist Bodily: 250,000/500,000

Medical Payments: 25,000 each person

Physical Damage: Actual Cash Value

Comprehensive: 250 Deductible

Collision: 250 Deductible

Accessorys: 3000

What is your opinion? Should collision be kept? Is this a normal price? Appreciate any input.
