Post up some pics from your last ride!

I was getting burned out on all the "problem threads" and I saw a cool pic of a couple of RZR’s riding in the snow and it made me smile, the XPT and XP1K in the deep snow looked awesome! It reminded me how much fun these machines are and the whole point we all go through the ups and downs of ownership! Anyways I wanted to start a fun thread and see some cool places and machines, doing what they are built to do! Here is a couple pics from my last ride at my favorite riding place, Five Points, WV. It was rainy that day but an unusually warm day in late December (high 60s) and i always have fun when i’m riding! Please add your pictures and comments, thanks!

Here is a legendary hill climb named "Agnus". At the base of this hill climb is a large open area that often serves as a place for riders to congregate. Agnus is also a well known point of reference in this vast area. The pictures of this hill don’t do it justice, it is huge in person, super steep and the middle sections is just a rock ledge! In the 4 yrs I’ve been riding here I can count on one hand how many SXS i’ve seen climb it. Truthfully, I don’t really like watching people attempt it, if you roll down this hill you may not survive.

We call this Indian Rock, it is deep in the forest. The nice shallow cave is a popular pit stop along this technical trail that winds through a creek bed in between two mountains.

This is another one of our usual stops along the ridge line ride-away. We call this Construction Knob, there are several ride-aways that intersect in this area and there are great views from here.

XPT with Camoplast Tracks

I am considering getting some Tracks for my Turbo 2 Seater. Anyone have first hand experience in deep powder or hill climbs with deep snow. I am in Utah and this year we have had a ton of snow and would only want to get it if it will be able to climb in the powder.

But this is just donuts on flats with not much powder.

Another one on flats.

Power steering failure–help!!

Currently on location in southern Utah. Driving fairly normal and easy trails. Noticed the smell similar to hot brakes and could not locate it. Kept driving and noted the smell went away. The next time I got in the vehicle, I noticed the power steering was no longer working. There was a small light that look like fasten seatbelts in the display. It was the one on the left hand side around the midline. I really don’t know where the power steering belt is. When I try to locate the smell, I noticed it was in the front half of the vehicle. Possibly the power steering unit itself. The vehicle was purchased in September of last year. Should still be under warranty. I would like to drive it while on vacation. Any suggestions?

My Battleborn Build Thread

Well I kicked myself for never starting a build thread with my Tacoma, so I figured I’d start one for my RZR while its still early. While this thread could help others from avoiding my mistakes/successes, it’s mainly so I can keep track of my purchases or what have you.

I will update it as things progress, I take photos, whatever. Anyway, here I go!

Starting the early fall of 2015, I was shown pictures of the new RZR’s hitting the market and began to become aroused (who didn’t?) Prior to this time, I made fun of people with side-by-sides. Saying things like "just buy a car" or "Just buy a dirt bike" both of which were significantly cheaper than the steep price tag of even the base XP 1000. The more I internet shopped, the more I got hooked. And If you knew me, you’d know this is a problem. When I see something I want I get it. Regardless of the consequences or the impact on my credit score. Anyway to keep a long story short, I decided to trade in my 2011 BMW S1000RR and go full-retard on a 2016 XP 1000 Turbo.

Within about 2 weeks of deciding I wanted a SxS, there was a brand spanking new one parked in my driveway. So new in fact, It rolled off the factory line on 10-16-15 and was in my driveway on 10-29-15.

When I brought the machine home:

And here it is as it sits today:

Broken. Engine needed to be replaced at only 258 miles after a coolant leak was discovered in the intake plenum. $8,400 in parts an such later, she will have a new engine and new turbo.

I have owned the machine for approximately 75 days, and it has been in the shop for approx 56 of those days.

A week before the engine, it was discovered that the front dif seals were installed incorrectly, causing leaks.

My list of Mods grows everyday and will never end but here is my To-Do list:

Race-ready cage
Full doors
Door nets
Fresh air system for two people
seats
ECU flash
Shock upgrades, to include springs and valving
Front and rear bumpers
light bars front and rear
Radio intercom/etc
Exhaust

And my list of things already done:

30x10x14 Tensor Regulators
14×7 Sti HD5 beadlocks w/ 5+2 offset
American Flag whip
Evo blow off valve
5-point harnesses
Polaris metal roof
2.5lb ABC extinguisher

My overall plan is to start racing the desert races, whether it be VORRA SCORE BITD etc. But I still need a machine I can pack up and take to Moab for my annual trip with the lady.

This is all if I can keep it out of the shop of course…

NEW OSP adjustable OEM turbo weights

Have you got a new OEM turbo and want upgrade your flash for more HP well your going to need some weight in your clutch, Now we have spent a lot of time on these to get the RAMP perfect.. these are able to grow from stock to stage 4 flashes or more.. empty the weigh 62 grams and can be loaded to 78 gram, on this batch of weights, we will have a heavier base weight soon for the big turbo guys…

most guys may know this but we have been racing snowmobiles for 20 plus years, so we know clutching… and build some of the fastest sleds around..and we have put all that knowledge in to designing these weights, these are Heavy duty High quality parts..and are adjustable with magnets, STOCK weights have no bushing.. we have chosen the Highest quality bushing material to run in the worst conditioners and hold up very well and are replaceable if needed..
as most things we do we are very small shop and have only made few sets to start with… I will have this for sale on our web store.. thanks Jim

Turbo Trans

Will the turbo Trans fit the XP 1000 ?I see in the parts brake down that the turbo rzr has a reverse gear instead of a reverse chain. Would be a nice up grade.
