Getting ready to pull the trigger!

After months of research and comparing the YXZ to the XPT I have decided the Yamaha is not the right machine for me and I’m going to get the XPT! I think i’m going to get the Orange one and I’m so excited I am distracted from everything else in my life! I sold my 900XP months ago and have been struggling to cope without a RZR! 🙂

One of my questions for you guys is did you get the extended Polaris Warranty? My dealer said he would recommend the two year warranty and he will discount it several hundred dollars?

Any advice before I take the plunge?

Has anyone installed a pyrometer?

Has anyone installed a pyrometer yet? I have noticed after making some short runs in the dark my turbo is glowing red hot. I don’t need to run it hard to get it glowing. I have owned heavy equipment for 25 years and have seen my fair share of glowing turbos, but the RzR turbos seems to get hot really easily. What temps are you guys seeing, and how long is it taking to cool it to 300 degrees before shutdown. I worry that its boiling the oil in the bearings.
Am I being overly cautious?

Evolution Powersports XP Turbo Silicone Charge Tube is DONE!

Evolution Powersports has completed the prototyping of our Silicone Rubber Charge Tube for the Polaris XP Turbo. We have increased the overall ID approximately 30% over the OEM Charge Tube. This is important – especially at the higher flow of tuned vehicles. These have been burst tested to over 80 PSI and absolutely will not split due to heat or high boost. The tubes have a port for the map sensor, BOV and an extra port for a boost gauge as well as being a pressure port for our Captain’s Choice cutout exhaust. The OEM T Bolt clamps will be reused as these are already very good parts. These will be in stock within 30 days and are available in all XP Turbo colors.
