Haven’t owned a RZR since 2008. So I am a little behind with changes on newer machines. Got the itch to ride again a couple of weeks ago and went out and bought a 2016 Turbo XP in Spectra Orange…..
What is the deal with the clanking, cracking, and popping coming from the rear of this thing when you take off and or operating it slow….. Its driving me nuts. It sounds like its trying to break itself. Is this normal..? My dealer is clueless..
Also I shredded a belt in 12hrs of normal ,dry, trail riding… Is this new clutch design junk..?
So my XP1000 is gone, and I’m waiting until spring to get my XPT.
I have to start saving my pennies towards mods and accessories, so…
Who has tuned their Fox suspension – what did you do, how is it working?
What was the cost?
What are the XPT specific necessities? Harness, skidplate, and roof are a given – but is there anything specific to the turbo model? for the 1k it was drive line balance/phase, tender spring swap, and a couple of other items.

Just bought a brand new RZR XPT last week and all I can say is WOW what a beast of an awesome machine!! Loving it!! Anyways this is my first RZR so trying to understand a couple things….After doing several searches I wanted to create a new thread to verify the clicking/clunking metal on metal sound coming from the rear of the car at low speeds….Most of the reading I have done indicates this sound is the Helix clutch..The reason for this thread is to verify for me (and other people who are new to Polaris) that this sound is normal correct? Soooo my questions are if it is in fact the clutch:
1) Is there any action that needs to take place?
2) Will the sound get less noticeable as the car breaks in?
