Seat angle on the XPT

I am interested in the opinion of someone that has moved from an XP1K to the XPT. Will I get used to the more forward leaning seat angle in the XPT? I am getting ready to buy one of the two but I am having trouble deciding. I am still on a quad but my wife bought one of the first XP1Ks a couple of years ago. While I don’t really NEED the extra power of the turbo, I like the upgraded suspension & CVT and more power never hurts. The one thing that bugs me about the XPT is the seat angle. Every time I sit in one, it is the first thing I notice.

So… Will I forget all about it after a couple of trips to the sand? Similarly, are there some nice fixes that lean it back some without adding too much height?

Oil

I’m sure this has been posted before but… I was wanting to know what oil you guys are running in your XPT???? I’m getting ready to change mine and would like some honest opinions from people who has these machines and have real world testing…

Evolution Powersports RZR XP Turbo Clutch Kits

We have been testing various clutch weight designs for months and have settled on what we believe is the best profile to get the power to the ground and keep the rpms under control. The EVOPS RZR XP TURBO kit consists of 3 custom ground adjustable weights and shims for both the primary and secondary clutches. These weights are super aggressive. The spring shims help to optimize upshift and backshift. We have setups for Stages 1-5. Kits should be ready to ship by late next week. We will post driftbox data of the kit showing substantial 0-60 time reductions vs stock shortly. Kits will be up on our website this weekend.

Bert’s Mega Mall, I have to avoid that place

This is what happens…

And we all know this is just the beginning….

XPT is a really sweet new color… Matte White Lightning…

The Black/Gray is the XP Fox Edition I picked up about 3 months ago.. I like the new look of it better.. Did a dual rate crossover suspension set-up…

Thanks to Art Wood, Kennedy and Dallas at Bert’s.. They treated Barbara and I so good I think I hate them now LOL. Thanks for great service and for putting Barbara and I in these bad ass RZR’s

Losing Antifreeze at alarming rate

Well, add my name to the list of people with cooling problems. 256 miles in and 15 miles after getting it back from the dealer for front differential leaks, I throw a Temp light and go into limp mode. I was no more than 1/4 mile from the truck on day two of riding.

Upon start up, a plume of white smoke came from the back on acceleration but went away after a few minutes. It also felt as though the engine wasn’t building boost for the first 100-200 yards, then it would wake up (yes, engine temp was adequate to allow full boost pressures.) It seemed to run great the first day and 15 miles, but day two was a different story.

After popping open the front cover, I noticed my coolant tank was empty. This was odd, as the dealer stated it was low and had JUST refilled it and tested the system.

So in 15 miles I burned through all my coolant; at least the liter or so that was in the reservoir. WHERE DID IT GO!!!!

Checked the oil, looks just fine.

No visible leaks anywhere. The only thing I can think of is I have a head gasket leak that is allowing antifreeze to burn off in the engine.

Does anyone know if the Turbo uses anti freeze to "cool" the air? I only ask because I know these machines have a "liquid charge air cooler". What liquid are they using? Is it possible the turbo is burning the antifreeze?

Literally the only change I have made is installing an EVO blow off valve.

My machine rolled off the factory line on 10/16/15. To date, it has been in the shop for 3 of the 7 weeks I have owned it.
