900xp versus 1000 suspension

OK guys schooled me on this. From what I read the 900 XP in the 1000 are the same with but different wheelbase Lan different wheelbase length. I believe they both have the same right height as far as 13 inches a ground clearance . I know the 1000 suspension has a lot more travel therefore the shocks must be longer. So is the upper shock mount just in a higher location or is that a combination of moving the upper and lower shock mount.

Rear Wheel Protection

I wasted one of my new 14" Method M401’s after a rock got stuck in between the caliper and the wheel. Almost cut straight through.

Aside from a 15" wheel, which is not an option, does anybody sell anything designed to stop rocks from getting inside the wheel? I know Lonestar makes a set of mud flaps, just not sold on these just yet and want to explore all options.

900 Xp rear wheels toe out

I have a 2012 Xp 900 it has a 2" bracket lift. The rear tires are toed in at the rear. The front of the rear tire is inline with the front tire . If I pull a string from front tire to rear tire. It touches the front of the rear tire at the same time the string gets square on the front tire. The sring shows rear tire 1-1/2" in at the rear of tire. I bought this rzr with bad motor. I took rear suspension apart to pull motor and Trans same day I bought it. I didn’t notice the tire toe out then but it could have been. Getting every thing back together now and trying to get this figured out. Any one Sean this before?

Rebuilding xp900 front end

Ok so I’m looking to rebuild the front end of my xp900. I have slop in one of my wheels so might as well do it all. I need suggestions. As far as bushings I’m going with super daves kit. And for ball joints also super daves. I read that those seem to be the best on the market. Now what about tie rod ends? What brand do you guys recommend and should I just do the end of the whole tie rod? Also what bearings? While its apart I’m also going to do the utvinc front bolt on gusset kit. I want my front end to be as good as possible. Thanks everyone.
