Rim and tire size help.

So i hate the look of my stock rzr 900 rims im leaning on something nice but affordable what is the best rim size and best tire i can get for desert riding?
I like the beadlock method wheels but am not sure what tire size to get or tire brand ive heard good things about kanati mongrels then ive heard the side wall is bad? Ive heard that the maxxis big horns are the best tire period as well? Can someone please tell me the lug patter,best tire size and tire i can get? Thanks
Im staying away from then 14" because they seen super heavy compared to what stock is. Thanks again for any input and recommendations oh my rzr is 2012 xp

No Throttle

Hey Guys,

Was out with daughter on a rally this wknd. Got the old RZR stuck in a huge water hole. Frozen ice & some beaver chewed logs.

The Rzr kept running but I had no throttle at all??? Shifted into all gears to get out of hole & gas pedal to the floor.. no matter what I had no throttle.

Go the bike winched out backwards & onto level ground & the throttle was working again????
Never happened again on the trails but was deffinately odd.. Nothing jammed up under the bike when we got out of hole.

Just wondering what it could have been??? Electrical? Cable bind?

Missing at Idle

Help 2012 900XP. Missing at idle, pops a little. Runs fine off idle. any thoughts?
Has 4900 mile and has not been long since motor low end has been rebuilt with new block.

Guy from the UK in need of desperate clutch help ahead of a race!

Hi guys, I am from the UK and about to do my first race in a baja rally raid this weekend…

Now I have just had my engine rebuilt with carillo rods, cams etc and a load of parts from sparks… including valve springs etc so basically a stage 2 fully built engine.
Also I have a rooster clutch with a sparks non engine braking part and it seems like a sparks clutch weight kit…

Now the thing is because of our style events we have to run 15” wheels and tyres which are quite heavy.. 50lb total combo I think or 22kg… however the tyres are only 27” tall and 8.75” wide so it’s a similar ratio to the standard bighorns
My issue I have is the clutch weighting seems to be wrong and I really need to get some directions to What weight I should add… the rzr is launching really hard but gets to about 35/40 and bounces the limiter and struggles… however… if you feed it in slowly it will reach 65mph gradually…
I believe that I need to add weight to the primary clutch.. .. can anyone suggest what I should add?
I can do a video of the polaris launching and what is happening if it helps..

Here are the weights I have in the box just for reference.. and an image of my 900xp minus the plastics for now!

Rear wheel angled out

Ok so I hit a bowling ball sized rock at 50 with the driver’s side wheels. Ruined rear wheel with a dent and crack. Replaced rear wheel. Now I noticed that the rear wheel seems to be toed out at the front. It also seems to be a little squirly at speed. Front end suffered no aparent damage. Family trip to Moab in June and I don’t feel like it is right. Any suggestions?

PS. Mrs. Ghoster was with me when I jacked it up so for once I didn’t have any ‘splaining to do.
