question on clutch fan set up

I see some are using the bilge pumps to cool there clutch and belt. My question is what is to much CFM , I have a 12volt 800cfm blower motor, it starts at 15amps then goes to 4amps once its going. I had it on a auto a few years back but still works perfect, is that way to much. the 800cfm was with smaller tubing like 2 1/2 so i would think going bigger would cut that down a bit.

Best way to hold primary when torquing

What is the best way to hold the primary when torquing the bolt to 96lbs. I do not have the designed holder? I saw on youtube powermodz slide a wood hammer through the primary? Is there any better tricks for torquing it?

Also how do you hold the secondary to get to 40 ft lbs?

Thanks

RZR XP 900 timing mark reversed and backfiring

I just rebuilt my 2012 RZR XP 900. I installed a 2011 crankshaft and balance shaft and used my 2012 flywheel. I cannot seem to get the timing right, This is my second rebuild on a XP and I’ve never had this problem before.

I have the hash mark from the flywheel on the case split and the passenger side (MAG) is TDC INSTEAD of the (PTO) side like normal. Rear cam lobes facing out, (I.I) (E.E) on the cam gears and in the correct places and positions.

The (V) on the flywheel lining up case split instead of the hash puts the (PTO) cylinder on TDC correctly. Something seems off.

When I attempt to start the motor with the flywheel mark (V) at case split making the (PTO) at (TDC) and cams in correct positions. The intake is backfiring and when I let off of the fuel the it blows the throttle body off and quits. Seems like some pressure is making it harder for the motor to turn over while attempting to start as well. Not your normal equal sound you usually hear while trying to start.

Any ideas? I’m pretty confused as it seems like my flywheel markings are different as stated above. Could the (CPS) Crank Position Sensor be getting a different reading where the crankshaft has the flywheel in a different position obviously from the reversed (V) and Hash on the 2012 flywheel, possibly the key is in a different position where the flywheel is attached to the crank and causing the opposite cylinders to fire and the wrong time when trying to time?

2012 XP900 EPS Addition

I came across an EPS unit out of a 2012 XP900LE and wanted to install it into my ’12 XP900. Found out the hard way that my standard model isn’t pre-wired as the ’11s are. 🙁 I also included part of the harness from the LE for both power and ECU connections.

I understand that there is a small jumper that goes from the diag port to the EPS unit (Polaris 2411648) – but its $170. A bit much for a small wiring harness IMO. Being that I also have part of the old wiring, can I simply make my own harness? I found the type of plug thats used (Delphi 15326840) – I just need the proper pin-out.

Has anyone done this before? Or is there more to this harness than I think?
