Question on clutch intake

Has anyone tried running both a high cfm bilge fan and the double down kit from desert concept on the clutch set up to cool the belt.

I have read where people like both but again has anyone tried them together?

age old questions regarding truck tyres

I have been contemplating putting truck tyres on the RZR for a while and must have searched loads of threads but still struggling to find the answers. my reasons are most of the miles I do are on tarmac (asphalt) roads, on a 200 mile off road trip we can cover 150 miles on road getting to and between trails. secondly there is a better selection of tyres over here in that market and on 15" wheels I’ll have an almost endless amount of tyres to pick from.

so things I seem to have an issue with.

will the increase in PSI and tyre stiffness have a massive effect on handling, will it make the buggy bouncy etc.

will I need to change wheels to beadlocks to drop the pressures lower than the tyre is designed for?

am I going to shift failure points to suspension components??

will I need to play with the suspension a lot?

is the weight of doing this noticeable on the speedo side of life and on the fuel used?

lastly I planing on a tyre TYPE of say a BF Goodridge style but sticking to the stock 26" overall hight (if possible).

just doing some research I dont wont to plunge in a buy new wheels and tyres and hate them.

currently running stock 12" and maxxis bighorns all round.

okay guys my buddy just got a 2014 900 stealth edition, his top speed is 70 as he starts hitting off the rev limiter. is this normal or do other 900’s go faster? thanks in advance, btw im currently an owner of a can am commander and am looking to upgrade to an xp1000 in the near future lol

HELP starter issues.

I have a 2012 900xp. Starter shit the bed last weekend. I took it apart and found the brushes worn right out. The anvil were the brushes ride was also very worn. Had a good 2mm grove in it. I have 4300km on it. Is it normal for the starter to have that much wear? I thought maybe the starter drive shit the bed and stayed locked causing the starter to spin while the motor was running. I put the starter shaft with out the body in the hole were it goes and if I turn primary clutch the starter will spin but if u barely hold it and turn the motor over the starter won’t spin out of ur fingers. The new starter has some friction to turn it by hand so I thinking it’s enough to hold the starter drive from turning the starter causing it to prematurly wear out?

Turning left short?

I purchased a 2011 900XP and it turns to the right just fine but when turning to the left it is not doing as good.It wont turn as sharp to the left as it does to the right.I have looked to see if I could find something hitting,binding, or bent and can not find anything.What could I be missing?

question on clutch fan set up

I see some are using the bilge pumps to cool there clutch and belt. My question is what is to much CFM , I have a 12volt 800cfm blower motor, it starts at 15amps then goes to 4amps once its going. I had it on a auto a few years back but still works perfect, is that way to much. the 800cfm was with smaller tubing like 2 1/2 so i would think going bigger would cut that down a bit.
