Throttle body boots leaking at head

Wondering if anyone has experienced the throttle body boots sucking dust in were they bolt onto the head. I’m currently redoing my top end as it was dusted. Last weekend I sucked a bunch of water in and started running like shit and no power. When I disasembled it i found that the intake ports were caked with muck. I’ve always checked the filter previous to this. Never had dust getting past it from what I could tell. I got the factory filter wet a couple times but nothing got past. And I replaced it when it got wet. Looking at the intake boots that bolt to the head they look like they have been letting dust past. The surface isn’t nice and clean. The embossed o ring looks Dirty. I’m just trying to figure out were all the dust came from over time. I don’t believe the filter was to blame. I dusted my banshee motor years ago so now I pay close attention to my filter and airbox seal and cleanliness

Snorkel question

hello, I have a question for everyone? I have a 2014 rzr 900xp I have read post and i understand how to do a snorkel , what i would like to know is ? rather than using the black or whatever PVC pipe and fittings . has anyone used silicone fitting and piping for a turbo/ intercoolers. I honestly dont like the look of the PVC . would there be any negative reson not to use silicone fittings and aluminum pipe? I have some left over from my drag racing days, its all 3in

Please give some advice on this…

2011 900xp I just changed the front prop shaft. Everything is in place but the rear prop shaft does not fully insert into the front. New prop shaft is from superatv. Anyone seen this before just wondering if it is normal or not. The original shaft splines were fully inserted into the front prop shaft.

Sad to say

well guys, i’m sad to say, but i’ve sold my XP 900, was a great machine and i had fun those 2200 miles i owned her.. But it was that time, time to replace the old with new. So I just picked up a 2015 Highlifter 1000 and i’ve got to say it’s hand down so much better than our XP 900’s ever were. Good luck guys and i guess i’ll be moving on over to the XP1000 side.

Bent tie rod

I was changing my brakes today and I noticed my tie rod looked like it was bent! It has a slight curve to it, I was wondering If I could fix it and how or if I will have to just buy a new one! Thanks

rzr 900 head

is there any difference in a 900 xp head and a 1000xp head….looking to slowly put together parts for a turbo 975 engine…thinking pick up a head send it off to be ported and set up with all the goodies while gathering up the rest of the parts….any one head or year better than the rest?

Heat from between seats !!! HOTT

I’ve posted this before. And have searched but my xp gets so hot it’s miserable to ride in.. Was looking at bikemans ceramic coated header. Was wandering if this wood fix the extreme cab heat. Or someone else have a good fix

Cab Heat gotta go!

Well its finally getting hot here in Michigan. Went for our first trail ride of the season on memorial day. With the windshield in my XP it got so hot in the cab at one point i was ready for the ride to be over!! I realize its the window causing the lack of air movement. But what are you guys doing to correct the issue?

I seen some of the dust blockers for under the seats, do those cut down on the heat as well?

Is it the clutch vent causing the excessive heat?

HELP ME FELLAS!!!!! Ive search the web for days now and found no solid answer.
