I recently rebuilt the top end of my rzr 900 as it was dusted. used polaris oem parts. flushed the oil 3 times and then on the last one put a new filter and polaris oil. it was great for the first few miles. Drove it real nice. Then all of a sudden when I let off the throttle it stalled, fired right back up. Did this a couple times. now when u rev it up a little in park/N u can hear a rattle knocking kinda noise. primary is off. its really loud at about 3500 rpm and can really hear it on the right side of motor. AT idle its quiet and at certain rpms u can hear the noise and others its gone.i only reved it to 3500, and when I let off it stalls. also when trying to start it it will usually fire and die the first time. I pulled the chain tensioner out and it still has tension on it. I did notice some metal flake in the oil that was dripping from the tensioner. I searched the forums but didn’t come up with my issue, any and all input is greatly appreciated.

Has any one put the HL reverse chain,shaft,sprocket and GR in a xp 900 case? I have found all the part numbers. I just want to make sure it’s a straight swap with no modification. I have a 2012 xp 900. Thanks Aaron

ok , i’m installing a new automatic chain tensioner when i thread the aluminum adapter peace on tight the bolt holes are facing up and down instead of side to side, the tensioner part says up at the top so how do i get it to face up or does it matter?

I was just changing out the belt on our 13′ model xp… I like to do everything before it needs it, so car only has 517 miles

Anyhooo… my novice experience with these clutches may be messing me up a little on putting it back together.

When I was blowing the Primary out, I noticed something moving around in there. It looks to be a little notched spacer of some sorts right behind the blue spring.
Is this supposed to be loose?
