I just purchased a used 2012 900xp and after reading a bunch i’m worried I need to do something with the intake before I burn up and engine. What seems to be the best fix or aftermarket cleaner?
So had a 2008 800 50" put 700 miles on in 5 months found a deal on a 2012 900 xp that had a dusted motor fixed it up and now have a pretty sweet ride. So far like the power and suspension, need to get out on the trails but looking forward to riding. So now will be lurking on the 900xp section.
Anyone has run theses before, 8ten, just curious to see how they hold up and quality for $90, one more question are the rhino axle CV boots the same as stock boots, need a couple boots for my front outer rhino axles, I had some 800s quad boss boots I doubt the will fit 900 rhinos

With all the trouble the 900xp motors have with oil usage/ leakage, would an oil additive help like a Lucas oil stabilizer, or Shaffer moly? Just wondering, I bought a xp with a dusted motor and replaced it with a low mileage motor and just don’t want another issue. I know keeping the air clean will keep a motor happy, but I want to do all I can to keep the oil happy too. I run rotella oil had good reviews and I have used it in my vehicles with good luck.
