Front diif being replaced under warranty

My 2015 rzr 4 1000 is having its front diff replaced under warranty
Asked that I have new one prior to install to as I may relocate washer prior to install .

Old one was making clacking noise …
Took it in a few weeks back and was told it was normal .
Took it back down to pismo and rode it more clacking away …
Called dealership asked them to take apart on my dime they did and opened it up as said gears and bearing toast call factory and got it covered under warranty if I recall we have about 25 hours on this this rig.

Polaris thank you for taking care of this!
Jim

Lower custom cage

What is considered normal for a custom cage for lower than stock front and back? I see most places will build it how you want. I have seen 2" in front and back. 2" front 4" back. I am 5’9" and I would be the tallest person in the back. I like the lower look in the back.

turbo clutching

I have a DDP clutch kit in my rzr that was setup for a stock machine. I has worked great as I have almost 1,000 miles of rocks hills and even sand running full blade paddles all on the stock belt.

I picked up a Packard turbo kit running about 5.5psi that was on a 2 seat xp1k.
I have called dale at ddp 3 times and left voicemails looking for advice on a baseline to start with my weights and haven’t received a call back over the past week.

The arm with lots of weight on the heel is the ddp setup for stock, the arm with 0 weight at heel is the Packard setup for a 2 seater. I went ahead and used the Packard arms and was hitting 8500 pretty easy so I added a small washer under the tip and also a thicker headed bolt in the mid spot. still nothing at heel. This seemed to tame it down a little. you can see the Packard has a little more mass built in at the heel already.

just looking for any tips or advice from someone running a turbo xp1k4.

30″ paddles tires for XP 1K4

Does anyone know of a 30" ribbed front paddle tire that works well. I am looking at the 30" Skats on the rear and want to run Method 406s so the front would need to be 14" to match up with the Skats. That means the sand strippers XLs are out since they are 15". I am not a big fan of buffs and would prefer a ribbed on the front. I saw that STI sand wedges come in 30" and fit on a 14" rim, any reviews on these? I love my set up on my 900 with Skats on the back and STUs on the front so I was curious if there was something similar in 30" tires. I am going to call Fullerton tomorrow, just wanted some ideas before I call. Thanks!

cam chain tensioner install ***video***

Here is the correct way to install your cam chain tensioner, for those people who think you can just pop one in probably not a good Idea. Mine jumped time just turning it over (my exhaust cam jumped 2 teeth) before I even took the tensioner out. I WAS NOT VERY HAPPY!!!

Clutch Maintenance Questions

Looking to check a few things out while I have the thing apart. For clutch spacing I believe I read that the space between shafts should be 10 1/2" mine is short of that by 1/16" is that enough to worry about? Do I need to purchase the $40 tool or can i just measure? has anyone adjusted it? is it somewhat easy?

Next question I hear all this talk about the need for a heavy duty dampener. Is this necessary? Has anyone been able to do it without spending $200 on the tool to hold the clutch while you put the required 290ft lbs on it?
