4×4 question

Okay so I know how its supposed to work…
Leave it in 4×4 and it will only engage when the back tires slip.

How mine seems to work…
I can only get it to "turn on" or at least to get the light on the dash to light up when I’m stopped and in gear, if I’m rolling at all it won’t engage ever. When it is engaged it seems to always be on, even at low speeds on a hard level surface I can feel the front end fight when I’m turning. I can turn it off at any speed.

I don’t have the marbles in the can noise, but when its engaged and I’m turning it sounds and feels like it fighting against itself almost a grinding noise. It has been this way since new and I now have about 2400 miles. I don’t use 4×4 very often.

Ideas??? Opinions???

Dirty dawg clutch problem

Hey guys went out first trip of the season to Glamis and was stoked to try out my new Skat track paddles. There bitchen. Anyways when running hard against the buddies I’m bouncing off the limiter so I contacted dale who asked me to take the weights out to see what I had so we could make adjustments. So I pull the weights out and notice the bushing inside the pivot of the arm is failing and there’s only material left on one side of it. Anyone else had this problem. I called dale and left a message and am waiting for a call back but wanted to see if anyone else had this.

Two Seater or Four? First Side by Side

I have ridden four wheelers for years and I would like to transition to a side by side. I know know want a RZR over the other brands.

I am struggling with two things:
4 seater or 2 seater? The extra row would be great for hauling kids, friends, stuff, etc, but I am concern about the length. I ride mostly in mud in the Texas area. Trails seem to be getting wider and wider as side by sides takeover.

High lifter or XP4? Is is worth paying the extra money for a High lifter edition. Again, I will be riding in mud and like the idea of buying a unit already setup for mud. I know I can do the same with a normal XP4, but I like the idea of a warranty.

Daylton clutch set up manual

Anyone have the set up manual?

Waiting for my kit from Hunterworks. He has video on the Install I understand.
Wish I had the set up manual.

But Choices in weight I was wondering. Ill be out of time to get my clutch done before thanksgiving not because of hunterworks…

I also understand the rpm test. Just wanted to see the chart.

My xp 4 1000 has the rear shocks off as Ed the Suspension guy has them. Prob wont get shocks back until Monday before Thanksgiving.

Prob just wait on clutch till I get back. I haven’t found anyone saying what is best for weight. 30 mongrels and 30 scat tracks in the sand.

6×12 uhaul

Planning a trip to Abernathy’s to pick up a xp 4 1000. Anyone use a uhaul for a four seater? I know people have used 12′ trailers; just wanted to verify that uhaul (without ramp) is truly 12′ and will work before driving out. Won’t have my own trailer prior to going there.

What Racer Tech Spring Rate Are You Running?

For those who run RacerTech springs, what rate are you running and how is it working for the weight you run at?

Their rate calculator keeps saying medium rate, but I am sceptical.

I will also be running their lift, but it says medium with and without a lift.

I am looking at a worst case of 1000 lbs of passenger and about 250 lbs of cargo/accessories.

On average, about 700 lbs in passengers + cargo/accessories.

At the lightest, 270 lbs for me + cargo/accessories.

We do mountain trails, crawling and higher speed desert/rocky trails.
