XP 4 1000 Differences by year

Hello,

I am getting very close to buying an XP 4 1000, and with several lightly used 2014 and 2015 models available, I wanted to see what I’d be losing going with a ’14, or ’15 over a new 2016 model. I’ve found scattered info on here and couldn’t find a thread that covered this info all in one place. The only real issue I’ve found to buy newer so far is the old clutch cover design on the 2014 model. But, I believe you can update that for about $250, right? Thanks for the help…

Need clutch advice – RZR XP4 1000

I have been searching the forum to try to understand if I need to install a clutch kit on my 2015 RZR 1000 XP4. I have read a lot of info, but still do not understand if I need a clutch kit, and if I do, which one to buy.

I installed 32" tires on my ride, and the dealer says the stock 2015 clutch will turn them just fine. I do not know if this is accurate, so I am asking the forum for some sage advice.

I live in Colorado, and I use it most for trial riding in the mountains. Lots of slow climbing at altitude (7,000 to 12,000 feet above sea level).

We do take it to Moab at least a few times per year, and do mostly rock crawling, and some sand dunes as well.

Do I need a clutch kit? If so, EPI, Dalton, ??

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Factory wheel question

I drive a 2014 Xp4 1000. I’ve ordered a set of 32×10-14 Roctane XDs to go on the factory wheels and replace my worn out bighorns. I’ve heard the factory rear wheels don’t fit the front of the machine (hence the spare tire is on a front wheel). Is this true?
Is there any reason to change out the rear wheels and go with factor front wheels all around (or factory rear wheels all around)? I know it would make tire rotations easy, but will the front and rear tire tracks be different by much? Would it look dorky? Don’t want to spend the bucks for new wheels, lots of used factory wheels available on craigslist. Thanks in advance for the input!

Turbo on a standard.

Am I better off buying a standard 1000 and putting an aftermarket turbo on it or going with a 1000 T? I ask because you can purchase a new standard for 15k or so where the turbo 1000’s are 23ish.

Thanks.

RZR XP 4 1000 Complete Harness, Anchor and Bar Kit

Complete Harness Kit for the XP 4 1000

Not only is it important to have the correct harnesses for your RZR but to have the correct attachment point for those harnesses. The Dragonfire Racing harness and anchor kit position the front harnesses in such a way that when used with the stock seats wont slip off your shoulders. What good is a harness if it doesn’t stay where it needs to be. The Rear harness bar lowers the attachment point for the harnesses below the passengers shoulders so the harness wraps around your shoulders providing more holding power than if the harness were coming from a high position.

Kit Includes:

Qty 4 4 Point 3" Harnesses, Any color (Dragonfire Racing or Pro Armor, your choice)

Qty 2 Front Harness Anchors (Corrects the position of the driver and passengers harness to keep the should straps on your shoulders.

Qty 1 Rear Harness Bar (corrects the attachment angle of the harness and positions the harness below the passengers shoulders where it should be.

Qty 1 Harness Override Clip.

Qty 1 Inner Demon Motorsports T-Shirt (l, xl, xxl)

Because of Map Pricing Policies we cant advertise our price for this kit, please call or PM us for pricing.
